The dreamworld is a mysterious, perplexing, and illuminating place! It is full of awesome, curious, fascinating, and even frightening images. Despite even the most bizarre or disturbing images, we find that when we tend our dreams, we find a sense of deep resource and can meet life from a place of greater vitality and aliveness. Carl Jung, the founder of analytical psychology, described dreams as
…a little hidden door in the innermost and most secret recesses of the soul, opening into that cosmic night which was Psyche long before there was any ego-consciousness, and which will remain Psyche no matter how far our ego-consciousness extends.
Jung helps us understand that the dreamworld connects us to the deepest core of our humanity, a sense of collective wisdom and a wisdom that encompasses the world. Dreams contain a perspective that can deepen our conscious attitude. Jung muses that in each of us is another whom we do not know. He speaks to us in dreams and tells us how differently he sees us from the way we see ourselves. The dreamworld can offer us deeper insight into our lives. After all, it accompanies us every night on this journey!
This ONLINE program is a deep dive into the world of dreams, and a clear path to learning how to engage yourself and guide others in embodied experiential dreamwork practices.
